Described as a provocative comedy about the perpetual pursuit of life, love and happiness, WASPs in Bed is the result of many years and many writers' work, including that of Richard Willis Jr., Kieron Quirke and Paul Murray, with the most recent and significant writing done by Nicola Behrman. WASPs in Bed is an original story by Raja Ogirala and Richard Willis Jr.
Wilson originated the role of Marcella in Broadway's Good Vibrations and starred as Audrey opposite Joey Fatone in the revival of Little Shop of Horrors. Her other Broadway credits include Les Misérables and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Earlier this year, she appeared in the off-Broadway musical Bingo.
Basche's off-Broadway credits include Snakebit and Visiting Mr. Green. WASPs in Bed will mark Reiner's third show on Theatre Row this summer, following Jayson With a Y and Anais Nin—One of Her Lives. She and Basche are real-life husband and wife.
WASPs in Bed is scheduled to officially open on September 7 and will continue at the Beckett through October 15.
